前言
這一首歌的意境稍微深了一點
主題用著Swimming Pools 泳池
時間上確實比擬著愛情的波濤駭浪 (Big Waves)
而在這種相對的關係下 泳池的平靜 與不可求所有的寄託 (empty swimming pools)
並且也知道自己要能承受這些痛苦
才能夠真正渡過難關，逃不了的 必須要面對的挑戰(I can't outrun what's after me)
這首歌難翻的地方就是在於有很多的隱喻
像是California dream不單單只是字面上的加州夢
